Ground News promises to break the media echo chamber. But we found something remarkable hiding inside its “Factuality” ratings. Conservative news outlets scored nearly 5 points lower in reliability than comparable outlets on the Left, even though they were no more ideologically extreme. Then Ground News takes those publication-wide ratings and puts them beside individual stories, even though it admits the articles themselves have not been fact-checked. The conservative story finally gets onto the page. It just arrives pre-labeled as less trustworthy. A German group examined 106 term placentas. 31 stained positive for SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Eleven came from women who were vaccinated and reported no infection at all during that pregnancy. No viral RNA in any sample tested. Vaccine RNA in two. PLOS ONE, March 2026. 🧵 --- Why that matters: nobody had looked. Pregnant women were excluded from the pivotal trials. The preclinical biodistribution work was run in nonpregnant rats. The reproductive tox studies measured outcomes, not tissue distribution. The placenta was never examined. --- What did exist, in January 2021, was a text chain. Fauci wrote to Walensky and Murthy that because many people run significant cytokine response and fever after dose two, this "theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester." Walensky agreed. Neither said so publicly. --- That was not a new concern. CDC's own December 2020 guidance told clinicians to offer acetaminophen for post-vaccination fever, on the stated ground that fever is associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes. By the August 11, 2021 recommendation, the fever caution was gone. --- The April 2021 paper that reassured everyone had a denominator problem. 12.6% miscarriage looked normal. But 700 of the 827 pregnancies counted were vaccinated in the third trimester. They could not miscarry before 20 weeks. CDC's authors conceded it. NEJM corrected it October 14. --- The 82% figure circulating this week is also wrong, for the mirror reason. Restricting to completed pregnancies over-selects early losses. Neither 12.6% nor 82% is a real rate. If you are repeating the second one, you are handing them the correction. --- The question nobody asked: spike is a receptor-binding protein. ACE2 sits in decidual stroma and syncytiotrophoblast. Mapped in 2006, remapped in 2020. The 2P modification does not touch the binding domain. Corbett and Graham measured that binding at 15 nM themselves. --- One question is still open. I can find no evidence ACIP ever voted on the pregnancy recommendation. No 2021 MMWR carries one. I have asked CDC and they are looking into it. If anyone can produce the vote, I will correct the record publicly.
